Edna is well known for her W.W.2 wartime Christmas 'show and tell' talk but during the festive period Harry & Edna are often asked to use their late Victorian / Edwardian skills to create a seasonal atmosphere. An example of which was the "Dickens of a Christmas" created by Edna for the Cowper & Newton Museum.

December is traditionally a slow time for museums so the Cowper & Newton museum wanted to take part in their towns Dickensian themed Christmas festival. Edna developed a trail featuring the main characters from the classic Dickens novel "A Christmas Carol".

Visitors are invited to become Ebenezer Scrooge and explore the 18th century museum trying to locate the characters from the famous Christmas story. The characters were created using a mixture of the museums artefacts and Harry & Edna's own props.

Visitors found Tiny Tim by the fire place, Jacob Marley in his chains and of course the 3 ghosts of Christmas past, present and yet to come.

To ensure that 'a Dickens of a Christmas' generates extra visitor numbers Edna positioned herself outside the museum wearing a late Victorian / Edwardian costume to encourage passing potential visitors to enter the venue.
