This scenario is popular with event organisers as it includes a display of WW1 military items all of which are packed one at a time into Harry's kit bag.

Harry uses an original WW1 US army back pack and starts the scenario with a display of artefacts and the empty kit bag.

With audience participation, Harry asks the visitors what they believe the various items are? Harry then explains how a WW1 solider would use these artefacts thus giving a brief insight into the life of the common soldier.

Then when the pack is filled, visitors are given the opportunity to come forward and feel the weight a   W.W.1 solider would be expected to carry.

The younger visitors are also offered the chance to put on a military tunic and helmet, which gives them a wonderful photo opportunity.

To end the scenario they hand the visitors a reproduction WW1 flyer which includes a train ticket, taking the new volunteer straight to the front.

This has made Harry's "Pack up your Kitbag" scenario a favourite with both event organisers and visitors alike.
