When the National Trust at Hughenden Manor wanted to recreate Sergeant Hadfields living room as it was in the 1940's they sort the advice of Harry & Edna vintage sweethearts. Harry & Edna sourced the majority of the artefacts and furniture in the living room recreation and they advised on aspects of wartime daily life so the room could be dressed in the appropriate fashion. Harry & Edna located a CC41 sideboard, table and chairs, as well as many of the small but so important items that make a display appear like someone's actual living room. "It is rather strange" said Harry "to see the dining room chairs which use to use in our dining room now in this historical room recreation but is wonderful to know these wartime made items are back on active service".
This permanent exhibition is one of a number commissions Harry & Edna have undertaken on behalf of the National Trust. Other examples include re-enactments at the Needles Old Battery and event management at Stowe Landscaped Gardens.
