Harry & Edna's
W.W.2  impression

W.W.1 / Edwardian
Impression

One of Harry & Edna's favourite parts of the world is the Needles Old Battery, owed by the National Trust. They have performed a variety of scenarios and lectures at the Needles Old Battery. As well as the gun battery, the Needles Old Battery has a number of tunnels and underground bunkers for the visitor to explore. The venue is the location of some fascinating history which Harry was able to exploit.

For example he performed anti aircraft gun drill on the very spot where Britain's first anti aircraft gun was located and drilled the young visitors on the original parade ground as part of his
Home Guard impression.

Edna enjoys finding new, exciting and fun ways of introducing people to social history. So you can imagine how pleased they were when 100 cardboard gas masks were made by visitors children within the first three hours of the Needles Battery Old Battery being open.

Previously Edna organised the
Stowe at War W.W.2 event at the National Trust property Stowe Landscape Garden in Buckinghamshire. The event ran annually for 4 years and the last Stowe at War  was the properties most popular event with approx 4000 visitors.
