Inside Out Magazine

Harry & Edna were very flattered when the Sunday Times asked them if they could feature their home in the Sunday Times InsideOut magazine.

In the past when press photographers visit Harry & Edna's house they usually do a quick point and flash of the camera with all the pictures taken in about 10 minutes. But David Yeo, the Sunday Times photographer & his team took 5 hours to take 12 photos.

The Sunday Times were interested in the anomaly that although Harry & Edna live in a modern house, in the modern city, yet their home would not look out of place in the 1940s.

Harry & Edna explained they started collecting 20th Century artefacts in the late 1990s and by 2000 they did not have enough room for everything, so they started getting rid of the modern items and started using the vintage artefacts on a daily basis.

Their home is still very much a 'work in progress', time, money and simply finding the right objects (which can take forever) means it is a slow project and yes hidden away you will find a television, washing machine and fridge.

David Yeo was the photographer for the image opposite.
