When ITV programme "This Morning" needed a WW2 style home as a location for their feature "A Taste of History" it was our very own 1940s retro couple Harry & Edna who were the first choice.

The aim of the programme was to take the viewer on a trip back in time to show how our ancestors ate.  The WW2 section was filmed in Harry & Edna's modern but 1940's decorated home.

"It was really wonderful to be featured on the programme" said Harry "as although we live in a modern house in a modern city inside our house you can put Benny Goodman on the gramophone and it is 1940 again. For ITV to choose our house for the filming means we must be getting the look right".

"It is also pleasing to know our
Wartime Kitchen historical impression is becoming known in catering as well as historical circles" said Edna. "especially when you get the chance to cook with Marguerite Patten".
