A compact 1940’s home front display originally devised for the Goodwood Revival where space is a premium.

‘On the Home Front’ is a ’show & tell’ display based on the themes of ‘The Wartime Kitchen’, Rationing and ‘Make do & Mend’. Featuring displays of original artefacts and reproduction handling items. Manned by period characters who actively engage the visitors in conversation.

A compact display for venues with limited space, the display (including tent) can fit into 20ft x 15ft area.

‘On the Home Front’ is often complemented with timetabled talks such as The Wartime Kitchen, Make do and Mend and A Case for Evacuation

‘On the Home Front’ can also be incorporated into other displays such as The Victory in the Garden. As with all Harry & Edna ‘pop up’ event displays, the exhibition is self-contained.

Harry & Edna can even supply a WW2 dated tent to house the display thus allowing ‘On Home Front’ to be part of a wider re-enactment event.
