Edna's most requested talk is the "show & tell" lecture on the Wartime Kitchen which can also form part of a living history re-enactment, educational workshop, practical demonstration or reminiscence session.
To complement the display she brings a collection of original food tins and household artefacts.
Edna finds food is one subject which all generations can relate to and perhaps explains the popularity of this subject.
The talk begins in 1939 at the start of the war, covers rationing, the introduction of lend lease food, the points system, victory gardens, salvage and ends in the 1950s with the end of rationing.
As well as a formal talk she is often asked to display her period food artefacts and engage the public in a 'question and answer' display.
Because of Edna's knowledge of the wartime kitchen, she has appeared on television including a wartime food edition of the BBC T.V. programme, Ready Steady Cook and ITV This Morning.
Edna has been fortunate to have performed with Marguerite Pattern OBE on a number of occasions who Edna often refers to in her talk.
Edna's wartime kitchen talk can be seasonally adapted for Christmas.
