Wartime Christmas talk / presentation.
During the festive season Edna performs her seasonal 'show & tell' 'Wartime Christmas' talk. Her talk starts with the relatively peaceful Christmas of 1939 & describes how the celebrations changed as war progressed. Highlighting how despite the hardships, the British public were determined to celebrate Christmas.
The Wartime Christmas.
This longer themed event includes initial greeting by a period character, wartime Christmas artefacts display, Ministry of Information Christmas film followed by the 'wartime Christmas' show & tell talk. Duration approx 2 hours. This event is popular as a ticketed / fundraising event.
Wartime Christmas children's workshops.
Edna's exciting educational workshop combines a short children friendly 'Wartime Christmas' presentation followed by craft activities. Duration approx. 2 to 3 hours.
Harry & Edna also keep this vintage Christmas theme in their Victorian display of a Dickens of a Christmas.
