This impression / re-enactment is a series of interactive talks & a recreated encampment based on the civil defence measures taken in WW2.

The scenario starts by explaining about the different types of incendiary bombs & the benefits to the homeowner of investing in a stirrup pump. This is followed by a practical demonstration based on a WW2 civil defence drill. Harry & Edna then appeal to the visitors to step forward for training.

Harry & Edna can also combine the talk with a popular craft activity when younger visitors make their own gas mask out of cardboard and a plastic cup.

Because of Harry & Edna's knowledge of the Blitz and Civil Defence. UKTV History chose Harry & Edna to appear as the lead in a programme about the Blitz.
